I wanted to see the typical house- style of Q magazine, I decided that It would be good to make a collage of Q magazines front covers together to get a good idea of what I should be talking about when I come to analyse the latest addition of Q.

 

 

Music Magazine Research- My Inspiration

For my first piece of different ideas, I thought that it would be good to create a prezi presentation as I could show all my ideas and pictures in one form of a media platform, in this presentation I have things such as pictures that I think I could take inspiration from, I also have ideas where I could take these pictures, I still have a lot to think about for my magazine, like what I will call my "artist" what her "story" will be e.g. what songs she sings, where she is from, her famous friends etc.

I also still need to think about what I a going to call my magazine, font, layout and what cover lines and graphics I will use.

Also the other people that I will feature in my magazine, I will use this post as my ideas post, that I will go back to and update with new things that I want to put in my magazine

For my preliminary task, I had to do an over all evaluation on the work that I had learned for my first task, as  I am a year 13 as media student I decided that I would use a range of different platforms for each individual question.

My Final Front Cover Page, And Contents Page

 

 

 

 

 

I decided to take to facebook, to finalise the pictures I will be using on my front cover and my cover page, my reason for this particular social media site was because it is quick and easy to put a number of pictures into one file, then to "tag" peoples names so they could see instantly what I wanted them  to do, I "tagged" 20 people to either "like" or "comment" under the pictures that they thought was best for my magazine, the people that I "tagged" in my post were all students in my year, my reason for this was clearly because the magazine will be published and they will be the ones getting it, I thought this website suited my task perfectly, and I am happy with the amount of feed back that I received!

This is an example of some of the feedback that I got off facebook, this was the highest number of likes that I received from all of my pictures, although originally I wanted my front cover picture to be just two girls standing in-front of the school building, I decided to play around with different angles and positions for the girls, and I opted for this, I decided that this picture will be the main image on the front cover as the audience has clearly shown that they think this would look best for it.

The video explains my detail n what I want my magazine to look like, I go into details such as, my cover photographs, my ads on the front cover, the articles you will find inside my magazine etc..

School Magazine Photo-shoot Plan

 

 

My magazine photo-shoot plan consists of the shot type, lighting, backround, positioning and editing, this will give a rough idea of how I will create my magazine pictures from start to finish, and this will help when it comes to the final decisions, as I can see what I originally wanted it to look like.
